How to Prepare for your Visit

Thank you for scheduling your In-Home Lactation consultation with New Life Lactation PLLC. I look forward to meeting you and your infant!

What to expect

Infant Preparation

We want your baby ready to feed at our appointment. Adjust baby's schedule by feeding 2 hours before your appointment. We will undress baby down to a dry diaper to get an accurate weight and keep baby alert for feeding.

Be Comfortable

I do not care what you are wearing or if your house is messy! This should be a low stress visit, focusing on you and your baby. Get comfortable in your favorite lounge clothing. I welcome your support partner to be present during our visit.

Environment

I will need a stable flat surface for the infant scale. Have equipment nearby such as support pillows, breast pump, bottles, etc. Please keep pets contained in another room. Please have an adult care for other children so we can focus on your infant.

Payment

Private payment is expected at the time of service. If insurance coverage is approved through The Lactation Network, only travel fees are due at the time of your visit by cash or credit card. Your credit card will not be charged until the day of your visit.
